Note: a Splice account is required in order to save Stacks.Ī: First, you’ll need to save your Stack to your account using the button. Saved stacks will automatically be added to your library on the website, Splice desktop app, and the CoSo mobile app. Q: How do I save a Stack? Where does it go once it's saved?Ī: Click the blue button and give your Stack a name to save it to your Splice account. Q: How do I adjust the volume of the different loops in my Stack?Ī: Click the button to enter mix mode, where you can tweak the volume of each individual layer to taste. This means that you’ll always get the most-compatible samples, regardless of genre, when using the “No Filter” style. Note: by default, our AI does not take into account any genre constraints (it will default to “No Filter” mode) when you first create a new Stack using a sample. Q: How do I change the style/genre of my Stack?Ī: Just select a new style using the button, and Splice’s AI will find the loops within that style that are the most compatible with your original sample. Clicking the button on that layer will unlock it, enabling you to switch out or delete that sample from your Stack. Q: Can I switch out the original sample that I used to create a Stack?Ī: The original “seed” sample will be locked by default, meaning it will remain in your Stack when cycling through new Stacks. The only exception is loops without a defined tempo/duration, which cannot currently be used with Create. Note: Create works with any loop that fits within 16 bars, which generally means loops under 26 seconds in duration. You can create a Stack using a majority of the loops on Splice– if you don’t see the Stack button, then that sample cannot be used to create a Stack. Q: Can I make a Stack out of any sample on Splice?Ī: Stacks can only be made using loops, not one-shots. Splice’s AI will create a unique Stack by finding the loops from our catalog that are the most compatible with your chosen sample. Q: How do I create a Stack out of a loop on Splice?Ī: When browsing samples on the Splice desktop app or website, simply click the button on a loop.
